Position Overview :

As the Vice President of Portfolio Management, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of drug development pipeline. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the portfolio of R&D products, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives, timelines, and resource allocation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing leadership and guidance to optimize portfolio performance.

Responsibilities :

  • Develop and refine the portfolio strategy, considering scientific, clinical, and business perspectives.
  • Align portfolio goals with the overall corporate strategy and vision in align with target planning, budget preparation and implementation of the company's new drug development.
  • Oversee the drug development processes in translational drug discovery, including the planning and execution phases leading up to IND filing and clinical proof of concept (POC).
  • Work closely with functional heads to ensure optimal allocation of resources, including budget, personnel, and technology, to meet portfolio objectives. Provide input into resource planning and budgeting processes.
  • Identify and assess risks associated with portfolio projects, developing mitigation strategies to ensure project success. Monitor key performance indicators and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Act as a liaison between different departments to streamline communication and ensure alignment with portfolio goals.
  • Provide analytical support to executive leadership, presenting data-driven insights and recommendations for portfolio optimization.

Qualifications :

  • MS degree or above in a relevant scientific discipline; MBA or equivalent business qualification is a plus.
  • Proven experience in portfolio management within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry for more than 10 years.
  • Strong understanding of drug development processes, from early discovery through clinical development and commercialization.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to make informed decisions based on scientific and business considerations.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Fluent both in English and Mandarin.
