Purpose of the Role :
The Taiwan Sr. Business Executive in Sustainability is responsible for driving business development and revenue growth in sustainability-related services within the Taiwan market. This role focuses on identifying client needs, promoting BSI’s sustainability offerings—including ESG, carbon management, and environmental standards—and integrating these services with BSI’s system certification portfolio to deliver comprehensive solutions.
Key responsibilities include supporting the sales team in achieving sustainability revenue targets, developing new business opportunities, and building strong, long-term relationships with clients across industries. The role also involves aligning internal efforts to ensure seamless delivery and resource coordination across sustainability and system certification projects.
This position requires close collaboration with the operations, training, and technical teams in Taiwan to ensure service quality, drive customer satisfaction, and contribute to BSI’s mission of advancing sustainable business practices.
Key Responsibilities :
Drive the growth of sustainability services revenue by identifying new business opportunities and key client prospects.
Promote services such as ISO 14064, ISO 50001, ESG-related verifications, and circular economy solutions.
Support cross-selling initiatives by aligning sustainability offerings with existing system certification services.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Taiwan’s environmental and sustainability regulations to ensure all services meet applicable legal requirements.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients across key industries, providing tailored and compliant solutions.
Collaborate with technical, training, and operations teams to ensure smooth service delivery and client satisfaction.
Prepare proposals, contribute to strategic account plans, and support business reviews with sustainability insights.
Monitor market trends and provide feedback on service improvement or innovation opportunities.
Knowledge and Experience :
Sustainability and Regulatory Expertise
Solid knowledge of sustainability topics, including ESG, carbon management, and energy efficiency.
Familiar with Taiwan’s environmental regulations and climate-related policies to ensure full legal compliance in solution delivery.
Standards and Certification Know-How
Practical understanding of international and local standards such as ISO 14064, ISO 14001, ISO 50001, and related verification frameworks.
Experience integrating sustainability services with system certification to deliver value-added solutions to clients.
Commercial and Client-Facing Experience
5 years of experience in business development, key account management, or consultative sales in sustainability or related professional services.
Proven ability to manage client relationships, develop proposals, and lead opportunity pipelines in cross-functional environments.
Skills and Abilities :
Proven ability to identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities, particularly in sustainability and environmental service domains.
Familiarity with Taiwan's environmental regulations, ESG frameworks, and key standards (e.g., ISO 14064, ISO 50001, GHG Protocol) to ensure service compliance and relevance.
Ability to translate client needs into tailored sustainability and certification service packages that create long-term value.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in Mandarin with the ability to present complex topics clearly to clients and internal stakeholders.
Skilled in working with technical, training, and operations teams to co-develop solutions and ensure delivery quality.
Able to analyze market data, interpret legal and sustainability trends, and prepare accurate forecasts and business proposals.
Ability to build trust-based relationships with clients, manage expectations, and maintain high levels of client satisfaction.
Effectively manages multiple projects and client demands in a dynamic business environment, ensuring timely execution and follow-up.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies, Business, Sustainability, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven 5 experience in sustainability, ESG, carbon services, or system certification-related business development.
Strong understanding of Taiwan’s environmental and sustainability legal and regulatory landscape.
Effective communication and presentation skills in Mandarin and working style in English communication is plus.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across functions to drive results.
Experience in client relationship management and solution-based selling is a plus.
