The Job
This role suits an experienced quality professional with strong supplier engagement skills, hands-on inspection knowledge, and the ability to work across functions during NPI and mass production.
Key Responsibilities :
Conduct on-site and remote audits of Contract Manufacturers (CMs) and sub-tier suppliersLead root cause investigations and corrective / preventive actions (CAPA)Oversee supplier PPAP submissions, quality plans, and readiness for new product introductionsPerform in-process and final quality inspections, ensuring compliance with specs and drawingsMonitor supplier KPIs (e.g., PPM, NCRs, OTD) and lead performance improvement initiativesCollaborate with engineering teams to identify risk areas in design and manufacturing processesSupport change control processes and calibration activity managementEnsure suppliers comply with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or equivalent QMS standardsThe Profile
MUST HAVE Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Materials Engineering7+ years’ experience in supplier quality within electronics or consumer device manufacturingProficient in PCBA inspection, FATP (Final Assembly, Test & Packaging), and system-level QAStrong command of quality tools : APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, 8D, RCCAExperience in NPI, manufacturing audits, and supplier development initiativesFluent in English and Mandarin; capable of technical communication across global teamsWillingness to travel to supplier sites as requiredPreferred Qualifications :
Master’s degree in Engineering or BusinessCQE (Certified Quality Engineer), Six Sigma (Green / Black Belt), or Lead Auditor certificationsExperience with handheld devices or embedded systems is a strong advantageThe Employer
