Job Description
As a Facilities Electrical Senior Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible to provide high quality engineering services for planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of site Facilities systems in support of semiconductor manufacturing. You will conduct capacity and scenario planning and evaluate impact of changes. In this role, you will work within Facilities Teams and with Manufacturing through all phases of design, construction, installation, start-up, operations, and maintenance and will ensure environmental, safety, regulatory, and code compliance. And will be able to routinely use technical judgment in solving problems making routine recommendations and improving existing work processes. And will make substantial technical contributions to the success of the department using proven solutions for complex technical problems.
Responsibilities and Tasks
Maintenance, Design, and Construction
- The scope of work includes Electrical System high / low voltage system, instrumentation system, IT infra system, generator, DUPS, SMS set.
- Provide support for operational issues and root cause analysis with basic knowledge of the systems.
- Provide system designs for safe operations and maintenance
- Develop equipment and component specifications
- Ensure designs comply with all applicable standards, codes, and regulations
- Be responsible for the maintenance of capacity planning databases (with Base Build capacities, POU assignments, and actual field conditions)
- Track system capacity relative to current supply loads and forecasted loads
- Prepare periodic system status presentations (system capacity, actual load, and projected loads based on all approved scenarios, key system accomplishments, and challenges / issues)
- Analyze system capabilities and future requirements during scenario evaluations based on manufacturing capacity and demand.
- Identifies and evaluates risk analysis for your systems and proposes possible improvements.
- Support manufacturing scenario planning according to standard process
- Review and support capacity analysis for your systems tracking against actual data from the facility.
- Support design reviews for base build systems in your area of responsibility insuring specifications are met and cost reduction improvements are identified.
- Evaluate system and distribution capacity impacts based on scenario changes
Provide Project Support
Collaboration and communication with Global Facility (GFAC) team and manufacturing stakeholderProvide detailed designs and specifications for the installation of new facilities infrastructureExecute designs according to standard processes and BKM (Best Know Method) O&M (Operation and maintenance)Following Facility and EHS Management of Change procedures (MOC)Provide support for cost, schedule estimates and justification for scenario changesProvide supervision and coordination of consultant resourcesPrepare Project Scope and ensure necessary input from appropriate stakeholdersWork with appropriate personnel to address Model Base Problems Solving (MBPS) or make correctionsPerform system inspections per applicable code requirements and sign off on inspection reportMonitor progress and provide engineering and design support during constructionSupport equipment startup and commissioning Provide Technical Support, Leadership, and ExpertiseProvide consultation and support to Operations, Maintenance and Manufacturing
