M0149 - Mechanical Product Designer (UP Sensor)

Job Details The role will independently work with cross-functional teams to lead multiple projects at the same time, from ID concept to mass production in fast-paced product development cycles for delivering great products to our clients.

Responsibilities Create and evaluate new product concepts Participate in the evaluation and selection of material, component, and process 3D modeling and engineering drawing drafting Troubleshooting of design, tooling, and production issues Perform tests and conduct engineering analysis Competitive product analysis (Component / Material / Process / Mechanism / BOM Cost) Explore and analyze new material, technology, and manufacturing processes Basic Qualifications Expressed interest in mechanical engineering in the working industry Demonstrated aptitude for creative, “out of the box” thinking Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn new things Understanding of basic mechanics, material science, tooling, and manufacturing.  Good root-cause analysis and problem-solving skills Great communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional team members and suppliers Fluency in English Technical Requirements Proficient in 3D CAD tools (Solidworks preferred) Great ability to solve problems with statistical tools.

Experienced in display / weatherproof / rugged / sensor product design.
