Position Overview
In-Room Dining / BQT Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting In-Room Dining / BQT Manager managing and overseeing all aspects of the IRD / BQT department to deliver stellar dining experiences for our guests.
The Role
1. Ensures and provides flawless, upscale, professional and high-class guest service experiences as a role model and expertise in all IRD and special dining experience related matters.
2. Monitors and control all financial aspects of the department including reviewing and updating of budget expenses, forecasts and inventory management of supplies and operating equipments.
3. Coordinate and assists the EAM of F&B in coming up with initiatives and suggestions to further enhance IRD menus, special dining arrangements and promotions to ensure consistent improvement and updated concepts, driving higher profit generation for the department.
4. Responsible for ensuring that all guest room amenities, welcome amenities are timely arranged. Effectively coordinate tasks and work with other departments to ensure that the department runs efficiently.
5. Ensures periodical updates of IRD menu in guest rooms and update all departments with latest promotions and operating procedures when in due.
6. Supervises the inventory management of operating equipment and supplies. Ensuring that all inventory are maintained at PAR level for optimal efficient operation.
7. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the hotel daily services, activities, promotion, and event. Effectively communicate and update all team members on any changes to ensure guests receive up-to-date information.
8. Be the champion of the local culture, heritage sites and trends by keeping up to date with the city's happenings, area surrounding the hotel to provide recommendations and directions for the guests.
9. Handling complaints and resolving service 'Glitches', keep a record of all feedback under the appropriate system. Ensures that the issues are resolved in a timely manner to guests' satisfaction.
10. Ensure all team members recognizes the importance Forbes standards as to deliver excellent audit and service performance.
11. Maintains strong working relationships with other departments to ensure effective communications for operational issues, serves as a role model for inter-departmental collaboration and support.
Talent Profile
1. Diploma / bachelor's degree in hospitality management, specializing in beverage service / restaurant management is of advantage.
2. Experiences in similar role at luxury hotels / resort.
3. Working alcohol service knowledge (i.e. wine service).
4. Good command of written and spoken English & Mandarin.
5. Competent computing skills (e.g. Microsoft word).
6. Can legally work in Taiwan.
