Amazon Web Services (AWS) has an immediate opening for a Logistics Specialist. We are currently expanding our Infrastructure Operations team in AWS and are looking for a professional to support inventory management process in warehouse of date center.
Mission of Logistics is to maintain the necessary inventory levels for all Data Center infrastructure teams. Logistics team ensures the right parts are available at the right place and at the right time. Logistics members are responsible for end-to-end handling of IT hardware parts from receiving, storage, allocation to disposition.
Key job responsibilities
- Receiving, stowing and picking, packaging and shipping, sorting and counting of parts
- Ensuring inventory accuracy and availability
- Coordination with internal customers, vendors and procurement team for optimal inventory level
- Storage facility management and administration
A day in the life
Work on part requests from different technician teams and supply chain stakeholdersManage courier vendors to deliver or pick up shipmentsStow parts according to requirements and make allocation, pack and dispatch parts for transferReview stock level and keep an accurate record for all attributes in inventory systemsAdminister warehouse and datahalls to ensure parts stay at the right placeReturn faulty parts and dispose obsolete inventory with vendors9 to 6 weekday work at data center with technicians as the only Logistics Specialist per siteAbout the team

Associate diploma or equivalent diplomaWork 40 hours / week, and overtime as requiredPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
