Scope and Responsibilities

The Field Quality Engineer will provide technical support for manufacturing ramp and yield improvements by Ambiq’s Global customers. Act as primary customer interface for quality and reliability improvements. Support development and setup of programming and testing procedures for Ambiq ICs within customer product manufacturing flow. Work closely with Ambiq Quality, Failure Analysis, Test, Validation, and Application Engineering teams to debug and resolve technical issues. Manage incoming customer RMA and FA requests, and drive through to resolution.

Will require some travel, and will require work in Ambiq office/lab in Hsinchu City as needed.

Specific Responsibilities

• Provide support for Ambiq products in customers’ production and manufacturing
• Interface closely with customer operations teams, including Contract Manufacturers and ODMs, throughout manufacturing lifetime from DVT and EVT through to mass production
• Manage customer RMA and FA requests, and drive through to resolution
• Support reproduction and debug of customer failures including hardware, software, and overall system

Experience Required

Ideal candidates will be an electrical engineer with skills and experience testing and debugging digital & analog circuits as well as embedded software/firmware (C Programming Language). Excellent problem-solving skills dealing with complex system level issues related to hardware/software debug. Experience with wireless standards such as Bluetooth will be a plus and application experience with ARM Cortex M series microcontrollers is strongly desired. Strong communication and cross functional teamwork skills are required
