Who are we looking for?
The Application Engineer provides analytical support to customers and internal teams by generating reliable data, analyzing results, and translating analytical findings into actionable technical insights.
The primary focus of this role is to analyze customer samples using wet and dry analytical techniques to support troubleshooting and process optimization. The secondary focus is to provide analytical data, interpretation, and technical reporting to support application development and commercial activities.
What will you be doing?
Primary – Customer Analytical Support
- Analyze customer samples using appropriate wet and dry analytical techniques to support technical troubleshooting and process optimization.
- Plan and execute laboratory testing based on customer requirements and project objectives.
- Interpret analytical results, identify trends or abnormalities, and provide technical insights to support problem-solving.
- Support root-cause investigations by correlating analytical results with customer process and product performance.
- Communicate analytical findings clearly to Application Engineers, customers, and relevant internal teams.
- Maintain accurate and traceable records of sample preparation, testing, results, and conclusions.
Secondary – Internal Analytical Support
- Generate analytical data to support application development, product evaluation, and commercial activities.
- Perform data analysis and summarize key findings and conclusions.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and other documentation to communicate analytical results.
- Support internal teams with sample preparation, analytical testing, data interpretation, and method selection.
- Collaborate with Application, R&D, Product Development, Quality, and Commercial teams to address technical needs.
- Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of analytical methods, laboratory procedures, and best practices.
Who are You?
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Analytical Chemistry, or a related discipline.
- 2+ years of laboratory or analytical experience preferred; candidates with relevant academic or hands-on laboratory experience will also be considered.
- Hands-on experience with wet and/or dry analytical techniques.
- Experience with analytical instruments such as ICP,CVS,HPLC,SEM/EDX, cross-sectional analysis, 3D profilometry, or other relevant characterization techniques is a plus.
- Experience in semiconductor, PCB, electroplating, surface finishing, materials, or related industries is a plus.
- Basic experience in data analysis, statistics, or experimental design is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong commitment to laboratory safety and compliance with established safety procedures.
