Essential Functions

• Oversee daily transactions of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions
• Help implement and maintain a SOX compliant environment of internal controls with respect to AP, AR, & purchasing
• Understand transactions and journal entries supporting the financial statements
• Ability to analyze, reconcile and troubleshoot errors and problems, and be able to clearly correct, update, and communicate policies as needed
• Understand in detail how transactions flow through the Company’s ERP system
• Oversees the system of internal controls over accounting functions to minimize risk.
• Understand month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures to ensure financial statement accuracy, timeliness and integrity
• Identify and suggest areas for improvement and efficiencies of the Company’s financial systems, and participate in enhancements and refinements to current structures and systems
• Performs other related duties as assigned by Accounting Manager
• Other projects or responsibilities as may be required.
