Provide timely and practical legal counsel on corporate law, employment issues, and retail operations to senior executives and HR leaders across the company's Taiwan operations.
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including leases, procurement, sales, distribution, and employment-related agreements.
Advise on tenancy and real estate transactions, including lease agreements, and contracts related to store development and professional services.
Support HR with policy drafting, employment letters, non-compete / confidentiality agreements, and legal guidance on investigations, disputes, and terminations.
Provide legal oversight and template development for sourcing, procurement, IT solutions, marketing, and advertising-related agreements.
Deliver guidance on e-commerce, digital content, social media, and consumer protection compliance, including privacy notices and online disclaimers.
Monitor and apply data protection and privacy laws; conduct legal training and provide risk mitigation strategies for local business leaders.
Offer legal input on direct marketing, advertising, and media activities under IP, consumer protection, and unfair competition laws.
Manage outside counsel and litigation matters to ensure cost-effective legal solutions and collaborate on specialized issues.
Build strong internal partnerships and maintain a proactive legal presence to support business goals while minimizing risk.
The Successful Applicant
Qualified practicing lawyer in Taiwan with admission to the Bar and a post-graduate law degree.
Minimum 8 years of legal experience, preferably from both top-tier law firms and multinational companies, with strong contract drafting skills.
Solid knowledge of Taiwan corporate, employment, and consumer protection laws; familiarity with anti-trust and unfair competition laws is a plus.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in English, with strong business acumen and ability to advise senior leaders.
Independent and collaborative team player with international exposure, strong legal analysis, and the ability to lead cross-functional discussions.
