AVP, Financial Reporting, Financial Control, Finance-(WD74474)
Job Purpose
To supervise the Finance section in the preparation of financial reporting functions and to ensure the enforcement of financial controls. The role is expected to drive compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in financial reporting and related functions.
Key Accountabilities
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Enhance financial closing efficiency by resolving issues, sharing best practices and managing ad-hoc tasks, especially cross-function discussion and communication.
- Provide insightful commentary and analysis of financial results to management and the Board of directors on a regular basis.
- Advise BU / SU on financial and system related matters, in alignment with Group / local accounting policies and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Maintain robust controls to ensure compliance with regulations, accounting principles, and reporting requirements, etc.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Interpret and implement Group accounting policy and treatments for new products and process changes.Coordinate audit-related matters to support efficient fieldwork and ensure accurate financial statements and timely submissions.Coordinate the preparation of the Finance section of the annual report.Perform reconciliation and analysis on financials between MAS and TW GAAP.Review and maintain PSGL chart of account and Office Account Basic (OAB) accounts structures.Review, analyze, and explain posting and variance for IFRS9 ECL, including FSC 5-bucket requirement.Coordinate the implementation of new IFRS standards.Address other ad-hoc request from BU / SU, head office and regulators.Required Experience
