Job Summary :
The Thermal Spray Coatings Engineer is the main point of contact for all production process equipment and associated program and fixture related designs, actions and plans to support the development and application of thermal spray coatings on semiconductor equipment components. Develops robotic programs and supports fixture design for thermal spray coating applications, including plasma and twin wire arc spray coatings. Leads efforts in constantly improving equipment yields, throughput and performance. Accountable for the equipment procedures and equipment process indicators. Continually develops the skills necessary for sustaining "world class" parts coating engineering services.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Hands on-experience programming automated plasma spray operations, including full understanding of the related metrology techniques for coating analysis and monitoring.
Superior leadership and interpersonal communication skills; High level troubleshooting skills coupled with hands-on approach to solving problems. Familiarity with "Six Sigma", "Lean Manufacturing" concepts and other process improvement methods and approaches.
Ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels, both within and outside the organization. Able to successfully prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
English language writing and verbal communication.
Educational / Certification Requirement :
A minimum B.Sc. degree in a sub-field of engineering, mechanical preferred, materials from an accredited college or university. Experience in the semiconductor industry is an advantage.
Work Experience Requirements :
At least 2 years working as a Thermal Spray Coatings Engineer, experience with suspension plasma spray equipment is preferred.
Work Environment :
This job is performed both in a professional office environment and on the production floor. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and manufacturing areas can occasionally be moderate or loud.
Physical Demands :
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to sit; climb stairs, maintain balance; employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust optical focus.
Travel Requirements :
Limited off-site and / or overnight travel away from primary work location may be required.
