Job Summary
Our client is a leading Pan Asian hybrid, hyperscale and edge solutions provider with assets located in Hong Kong, Singapore, Guangzhou, Nanjing, Indonesia and expanding footprints in SEA regions.
Presently, this firm is searching for a Project Manager to join their team on a full-time basis in Taiwan. The Project Manager will be a critical part of the Central Design & Construction team, ensuring all new data centre projects are delivered on time, within budget, quality, and scope.
Key responsibilities in this role will include but not be limited to :
- Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within boundaries of corporate policies. Put these in clear concise work statement for the field
- Negotiate and supervise the preparation of all change orders on the project
- Maintain all logs required to track the progress of the project
- Maintain liaison with prime client and A / E to facilitate construction activities
- Monitor construction activities in conjunction with the on-site Project Manager and Area Superintendent to ensure project is being built on schedule, and within budgets
- Investigate any potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures within company guidelines, and under supervision
- Represent company / project in meetings with client, subcontractors, etc.
- Create Project schedule (Microsoft Project), and prepare 3 weeks look-ahead schedule and monthly schedule update
- Manage financial aspects of contracts (progress billing, rental equipment, income / expenses) to protect the company's interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with the client
- The duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position. This is not a complete listing and other duties will be assigned based on the position’s role within the business unit.
- Develop high-quality project proposal and plan based on the business requirements and available project resources.
- Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within the prescribes budget of resources.
- Track ETA delivery of equipment and services from Telco / Data Centres, Public Cloud Providers and ICT Principles / Distributors.
- Provide regular reports on project progress for stakeholders and management and update schedules on plans when required.
- Serve as an escalation point for any service impacted incidents and help with ad-hoc requests to provide optimal user experience to BU.
- Communicate with stakeholder for vendor management, maintenance of documents and to report on project progress.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience working for a project management consultancy or data centre operator.
Other requirements include but are not limited to :
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Project Management fieldChartered or Licensed Professional Engineer is an advantage but not a must.Experienced in the development of greenfield and brownfield sites, with a strong understanding of Data Centre development. Other mission critical development experience will also be suitable.Experienced in leading multi-disciplined teams to deliver projects within the set parameters of cost, quality and time.Strong stakeholder management capabilities, and strategic mindset to advise and manage both internal and external partners.Strong communication skills in both English and Taiwanese.Overseas experience / global exposure is advantageous.This is a great opportunity for a project management professional to join a hyperscale data centre developer at an exciting time in their growth.
