Position Statement
The Business Development Manager is responsible for generating new business and maintaining existing relationships in the corporate market, and supporting the Group’s sales and marketing strategy through proactive business development and selling activities.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the operational strategy and focus on delivering on our sales strategy and revenue targets.
- Drive the profitable growth of the local sales division by delivering swift response times, innovative and effective customer service solutions and an enhanced customer experience.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations, produce regular sales reports, along with researching competitors' services and pricing success to determine customer preferences, develop a strategy to that combats the challenges in the market.
- Increases sales within existing accounts, focuses on customer service, develops relationships with key decision makers, understands and responds to customer needs, monitors account activity.
- Financial Acumen Plans for and uses resources efficiently, always looks for opportunities to control costs, produces accurate and realistic budgets, monitors and adjusts budgets as required, contributes to budget planning.
- Is attentive to detail and accuracy, is committed to excellence, is continuously looking for ways to improve, monitors quality levels, finds root causes of quality problems, takes responsibility for and deals with quality issues. Strives for high quality performance in self and in the team; delivers timely and accurate results; resilient when responding to situations that are not going well. - Develops new business, identifies, and sells to customer needs, translates product features into customer benefits, has good listening skills, is sensitive to customers, delivers effective presentations, negotiates well, uses closing skills appropriately, develops sales skills.
- Territory Management Develops detailed BD plans, forecasts sales, manages time and workflow, creates effective call plans, monitors, and responds to competition, networks and generates referrals.
- Project Management Skills : Experience in managing large-scale projects, preferably in office moves or refurbishments.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
