Sales management
- Achieve sales and margin objectives and goals for all cytology and molecular products (capital equipment and related disposables) for the assigned territories.
- Work with Sales management to identify key medical professionals to target and grow referrals to labs and OB-GYNs for Hologic’s diagnostic tests.
- Plan, prepare and conduct regular calls to OB-GYN physicians’ private practices and public hospital clinics and medical laboratory professionals to educate key personnel in the features and benefits of ThinPrep / LBC, and molecular tests and providing relevant supporting publications, samples and promotional materials etc. for use in the practice, clinic or laboratory.
- Works with Sales management to do direct to GP, direct to Patient information packages in accordance with industry guidelines.
- Conduct account reviews, identify customer needs, implement corporate brand strategy at a key account level, identify new business growth opportunities and development business in the current customer portfolio.
- Deliver ongoing market analysis, market intelligence and competition assessment and build referral and lead generation networks.
- Plan, prepare and conduct sales calls and sales forecast, new leads exploration build rapport, handle objections, make presentations and communicate technical products and operations programs to obstetricians, physicians, nursing staff, hospital administration, payers, insurers, health-care providers, medical laboratory professionals and others necessary to achieve territory sales objectives.
- Address client concerns and handle calls that require supervisor involvement.
- Work with, and obtain required approvals from the relevant commercial leaders, and finance on tender submissions requirements.
- Provide feedback on product performance, competition, products, marketing practices and customer satisfaction
- Submit special reports regarding operation of the territory, product acceptance, and specifications, or competitive activity.
- Regularly communicate updates to management of any issues related to their specific product line performance, competitor activities, or other issues emerging in assigned territory.
- Ensure adherence to all corporate policies, procedures, instructions and directives to achieve objectives and maximize profitability.
Technical / Clinical Marketing Support
Provide technical product support as well as ongoing customer service in accordance with company policy and industry protocol.Plan and conduct educational programs for customer training and provide virtual, classroom or onsite training to new users as needed.Liaise with KOLs and medical laboratory professionals to conduct local studies.Use relevant clinical evidence to support product features and benefits.Liaise with Field Services and Applications team to provide seamless hardware and application support to customers.Organize online / offline marketing activities, such as seminars, workshops and business events, with the objective of engaging with customers for greater brand influence.Liaise with internal and external parties for coordinating promotion material production.Sales process
Submit timely purchase orders, sales planning and expense reports. Report customer product inquiries, quotation generation and service requests within 24 hours of receipt.Work closely and collaboratively with supply chain on sales and operations process as well as other functions such as regulatory affairs and customer service.Ensure the customer relationship management database is up to date with all information including hospital lists, and customer files opportunities, appointments, calls, & notes.Establish and adhere to approved territory medical education, travel and general operating expenses budgets.Attend relevant corporate training, sales meetings, industry training, conventions, and in-field development courses.Participate in product team related events, teleconference.Comply with and advocate Hologic’s Policies procedures, instructions and relevant country legislations.Requirement
B degree in of BioMedical Science (Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology) or equivalent Science degree.3+ years relevant Life Science / Diagnostic sales experience is a requirement. Prior sales experience with covering public hospital segment will be highly advantageous.Relevant market access / KOLs development experience for driving guidelines changes will be highly advantageous.Laboratory Cytology (gyn or non-gyn), Molecular Cytology / Anatomical Pathology experience will be highly advantageous.Experience within diagnostic testing facilities, methodology and laboratory workflow will be advantageous, including familiarity of clinical and molecular guidelines; understanding of assay design, optimization, and validation; sample preparation; instrument operation and troubleshooting; software and data analysis.Experience in developing and establishing professional education training courses for relevant healthcare professionals is required.Strong accountability and accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.Ability to handle multiple projects and staff members, work well under pressure, work with others in a team and take initiative in a dynamic environment.Organized and have excellent time management and customer service skills. – prioritizing and ability to make good business judgments in relationship to efficiency, effectiveness and ROI.Excellent interpersonal, presentation and listening skills.Expertise in Microsoft Windows and Office, specifically Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint, and other popular business software desirable, including Previous use of a CRM system.
