Overview
Synaptics is looking for a IT End User Services Engineer to join our dynamic and growing organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting computer systems, supporting Windows environments, and assisting users with Microsoft Office 365 applications. The engineer will ensure smooth system operations, perform root cause analysis for complex issues, and uphold security policies and access controls. This position reports to the Core Infrastructure Manager.
Responsibilities & Competencies
Job Duties
- Assist with the maintenance of computer systems and basic troubleshooting
- Support Windows environments and escalate complex issues to senior team members
- Help users with Microsoft Office 365 applications and basic system functions
- Help in managing Microsoft 365 accounts and user access
- Learn and apply basic PowerShell commands for automation
- Research and test solutions under supervision to improve IT processes
- Support email and Microsoft Outlook settings, including Exchange Online
- Document IT processes, troubleshooting steps, and user guides
- Follow security guidelines and company IT policies
- Work with other IT team members to ensure smooth system operations
- Performs root cause analysis troubleshooting to find reason for problems and a permanent solution
- Responsible for ensuring admin access controls, logging, standards, and policies are industry standard
- Provide innovative solutions to proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability to resolve escalations of high complexity

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or a related field or equivalent2+ years of relevant technical experience with Microsoft technologies with progressive growthHands on Experience with Active Directory Management, O365, AD Domain Migration, Group Policies, permissions and securityExperience with Microsoft SCCM / Intune, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams and OneDriveExperience working in a hybrid environment with cloud (AWS) and on-premises server (VMware)Experience utilizing PowerShell to automate systems management, deployment, and implementation of functions and modulesExperience providing on-site and remote supportAbility to work flexible hours and be on-call as neededNo travel requiredBelief in Diversity
